Ahoi ihr Landratten! Ich freue mich immer, wenn Freunde von mir tolle Musik produzieren und mich daran Teilhaben lassen. So auch heute! Ein Rabe brachte mir die kommende Digital-EP „Abyss“ von den Tschechischen Folk-Metalern Odraedir. Nachdem die Band im letzten Jahr so einiges geändert hat, nämlich einen neuen Drummer und einen neuen Gitarristen gefunden, nehmen sie nun wieder volle Fahrt auf.

Kriegshymnen erklingen..

Odraedir machen brutal ehrlichen Folk-Metal und so sind die beiden bereits veröffentlichten Tracks „Cult“ und „Sip of Courage“ voller Energie und strotzen vor allem was das Metalherz begehrt. Das Herzstück der EP wird aber definitiv der dritte Song „Abyss„, welcher euch auf eine wilde Reise durch die Abgründe der slawischen Mythologie nehmen wird. Und auch von den Vocals her die eine oder andere Überraschung bereit hält.

Fazit

Odraedir haben mich schon mit ihrem letzten Album überzeugt, und die Veränderungen innerhalb der Band wirken sich nicht negativ auf die Ergebnisse aus, sondern eher im Gegenteil. Für die kommende EP gibt es also fette 5/6 Schädel und ich lege es jedem ans Herz, sich das Ding runterzuladen, zu Streamen und die Band zu unterstützen.

I’m always excited when friends of mine create great music and let me be part of it. And today is one of those days! A raven brought me the upcoming digital EP „Abyss“ by the Czech folk metal band Odraedir. After quite a few changes last year – namely finding a new drummer and a new guitarist – the band is now back at full speed.

War hymns are rising…
Odraedir delivers brutally honest folk metal, and the two already released tracks, „Cult“ and „Sip of Courage“, are full of energy and packed with everything a metal heart desires. But the core of the EP is definitely the third track, „Abyss“, which will take you on a wild journey through the depths of Slavic mythology – and even has some vocal surprises in store.

Conclusion
Odraedir already impressed me with their last album, and the changes within the band haven’t hurt their sound – quite the opposite, actually. So, for the upcoming EP, I’m giving a strong 5 out of 6 skulls, and I highly recommend downloading it, streaming it, and supporting the band!

Vždycky mě potěší, když moji přátelé tvoří skvělou hudbu a nechají mě na tom podílet. A dnes je právě ten den! Havran mi donesl připravované digitální EP „Abyss“ od české folk metalové kapely Odraedir. Poté, co kapela v loňském roce prošla několika změnami – našla nového bubeníka a kytaristu – opět nabírá plnou rychlost.

Zní válečné hymny…
Odraedir hrají brutálně upřímný folk metal a jejich dva již vydané songy, „Cult“ a „Sip of Courage“, jsou plné energie a nabité vším, po čem metalové srdce touží. Srdcem EP je ale rozhodně třetí skladba „Abyss“, která vás vezme na divokou cestu do hlubin slovanské mytologie – a vokálně nabídne nejedno překvapení.

Závěr
Odraedir mě už přesvědčili svým posledním albem a změny v kapele jim rozhodně neublížily – spíše naopak. Připravovanému EP dávám silných 5 z 6 lebek a každému doporučuji si ho stáhnout, streamovat a kapelu podpořit!
